I'm originally from Los Angeles, California and moved to Detroit Michigan to pursue an internship in radio and television. In 2016 I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts English at Marygrove College. I am currently pursing a Master of Arts in Journalism with Michigan State University. My a passion for social justice spawned from my engagement with my community. I constantly bore witness to the injustices my people were facing and felt that this tension needed to be addressed. Racial Justice Now is a great resource for those who have the same desire to end injustices, but don't know where to start. We welcome you here with open arms.
BRITTANY S. HOLMES
I am currently a master of arts student in Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media, with a concentration in Media and Information Management, a cognate in Information Policy and Society, a specialization in Women's and Gender Studies at Michigan State University. I finished my graduate certificate in Journalism in 2016, and my bachelor of arts in Media Arts and Technology with a concentration in TV, Cinema, and Radio, and a cognate in Social Science from MSU in 2013. My passion and future aspirations are leveraging media impacts to educate and inform, in collaboration with impacted communities, through an intersectional and transnational feminist lens; improving the lives of marginalized folks by creating shareable media and facilitating safe places for discussion and growth in communities.
